WHAT IS CHI ALPHA?

Nope, we’re not a fraternity or sorority. We’re an interdenominational Christian community for DC college students. In the Bible, the apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:20, “We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.”

Each of us who takes on the identity of “Christian” becomes Christ’s ambassador, or christou apostoloi in Greek, which we shorten to the first letters “Chi” and “Alpha” or XA.

WHAT WE DO

Large Groups Meeting regularly on each campus, we set aside time for teaching, worship, prayer, and fellowship.

Life Groups We have student-led Life Groups that meet weekly to study a book of the Bible. Whether you’re a believer or not, they’re the best way to plug into our ministry and find brotherhood and sisterhood!

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Jesus We believe that Jesus is real, true, active, and worthy to be followed.

Purpose We believe we’ve been designed by God, so we discover our purpose through our faith.

Community We believe that life truly is done better together and that we’re made for relationship.
